Blog 4 respond to "An Education in Citizenship."

         To many students they cannot able to go college because most of college tuition fees are expensive. And in the passage, “An Education in Citizenship” by Chicago Tribune says that young people who are illegal immigrants in Illinois’s state are now allowed to pay in state tuition fees and that was law which was passed recently by Illinois House. It also mention that the practice in state tuition rate is disturbing that citizens of the country and of the states and other 49 states student are arguing about it because the Pell Grant and Federal loan and research grant that come from their parents’ federal tax dollars. I completely agree with the passage when it says, “The practice is troubling because it deprives citizens of the nation and of the states.

        First of all, it is unbelievable that the immigrant’s students receive less tuition fees even though they are also students like us to study. Money that comes from federal grant is from our citizen or legal parents, who work very hard and pay their taxes so that their children can go the college with the help of government.        My parents work double shift and sometime extra hours but when I asked for pocket money they said they didn’t have much money because their half of money deducted by federal tax and the money it took from them will help me when I go to college. I was sadden and upset when I read paper  like that because I felt like my parent money is used to other national students.

     Now a day, a college tuition rate increasing that many parents are reducing their families’ member. I mean the parents prefer to have only one child. Like recently read a newspaper and it stated that U.S population is decreasing and one important factor was a child high tuition fees. One family member said that they could effort to bring two or more children in their life because they could not able to provide full and proper child education. This is clearly shows that how our government is helping their own people child education.

     Therefore, Illinois law house should have done research properly before they passed the law that illegal immigrants students can pay in state tuition fee rate by using U.S citizenship people money. The money that federal collects from their citizen should be used to benefit for their people and their children education because the children are raising star of their nation and seeds of future.
